2013
From 2013 to 2015, the Second Screen app was my first project at TV Globo, the biggest broadcaster in Brazil. It was a game for smartphones and tablets that interacted with live soccer games on TV. After it's launch, it was adapted also to interact with the Oscars Ceremony and the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil.
Television viewers were able to interact with each other through the Second Screen app during soccer games broadcasts. They could play doing trivia quizzes and other games like, for example, guessing where the ball would hit the goal. The users with the highest scores were displayed on a general Ranking. They could also check game stats and chat with other users.
During the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, the app got a special skin and operation for the games broadcasted by TV Globo. Along with IBM, we created a "social media thermometer" that analyzed what people were posting on social media to show how the game was being perceived.
At the 87th Academy Awards ceremony the Second Screen app got also a special skin. Viewers of the show could interact along with the broadcast guessing which films were going to win in which category, doing quizzes, reading trivia and chatting.
